Leap Year: Do What You Love

Leap Year - Do what you love. "Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony." Mahatma Gandhi

Today is February 29th. It’s a leap year. We get an extra day. Do you do something special with this extra day or do you let it pass like so many other days without reflecting on the time we’ve lived and the time we have left?

First I have to say if it was up to me and we had an extra day to add to the year I’d add the day to the end of June. An extra day at the end of June in the middle of summer seems like a much better place to add a day than the end of February when we still find ourselves in the icy grip of winter. But it wasn’t up to me so we’re stuck with February 29th. That my friends is out of our control. Better to make the best of it.

You know, I always think I should do something special on a leap year and then I never do. But then this morning I thought before the day is over why don’t I publish a blog post on the 29th of February not necessarily about theatre but to simply share the message that we should all think about the life we want to live and then figure out how to make that possible. So in that spirit here’s a video from Reflections of Life I ran across a few years ago that explores that very idea.

Enjoy the video and may your own path in life lead you toward the life you want to live.
